CCGB : Presentation and vision

Presentation

The Comité Congolais des Grands Barrages is a technical-scientific association representing the DRC within the International Commission on Large Dams (ICOLD).

Our goal

Its aim is to promote the construction, monitoring and maintenance of large dams in compliance with international standards.

Our Activities: Promoting Excellence
in Dam Engineering.

The Congolese Committee for Large Dams (CCGB) has launched a number of initiatives
to strengthen local expertise and ensure the safety of water infrastructures
and promote knowledge sharing.

    Development of a register of tailings management facilities in the Democratic Republic of Congo Monitor the status of tailings management facilities in the DRC and collect information in a register.

    Guideline development

    Development of guidelines for the safe and responsible management of tailings management facilities in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Based on the Mining Regulations, develop guidelines that show how to comply with the regulations regulations on tailings management while respecting good and safety practices.
